CO2 Laser [Deep Skin Resurfacing]

WHAT IS CO2 LASER?

Deep Skin
Resurfacing

A Carbon Dioxide (CO2) laser is an ablative resurfacing treatment considered the gold standard for dramatic skin rejuvenation. It works by emitting concentrated, fractional or fully ablative pulses of light energy that target water molecules in the skin cells.

Deep Wrinkle Reduction: Exceptionally effective for smoothing severe expression lines, crow's feet, and deep perioral lines (smoker's lines).

Scar Remodeling: Highly successful at flattening and softening deep acne scars, surgical scars, and traumatic scars.

Advanced Sun Damage & Pigmentation: Erases stubborn sun spots, actinic keratoses, and rough skin textures caused by chronic photoaging.

Significant Skin Tightening: Delivers powerful tightening for lax skin on the face, neck, or around the eyes compared to non-ablative lasers or radiofrequency treatments.

TREATMENT OPTIONS

Three Levels to Treat Your Skin

Each treatment is designed for different concerns and levels of intensity.
Dr. Lan will help you choose the option that's right for you

Ultra-Light

LIGHT CO₂ RESURFACING

For mild sun damage, uneven tone, dullness, and skin maintenance.

DOWNTIME: Pinkness and light peeling for 3-4 days

Ultra

DEEP CO₂ RESURFACING

For deeper wrinkles, more significant sun damage, and advanced texture concerns

DOWNTIME: Redness and peeling for 5-7 days.

Revive

CO₂ + RF MICRONEEDLING

Combines both technologies to address surface texture and deeper skin concerns in one treatment.

DOWNTIME: Varies by treatment depth, typically several days

How the Procedure Works

Precision Vaporization: The laser energy vaporizes microscopic columns of damaged skin (ablation), removing layers of aged or scarred tissue with extreme precision.

Controlled Thermal Heating: Simultaneously, the thermal energy heats the deeper dermal layers. This controlled heat causes immediate structural tissue tightening and triggers an intense, long-term healing response.

Collagen Remodeling: As the skin heals, it rapidly produces fresh, new collagen and elastin fibers, replacing old, damaged architecture with smoother, firmer, and more evenly pigmented skin.

What to Expect

Downtime: Because it is an ablative procedure that removes the outer skin barrier, recovery is intensive. Expect significant redness, swelling, and peeling (often requiring 1 to 2 weeks of social downtime while the skin re-epithelializes).

Longevity: Results are exceptionally long-lasting—often spanning several years—because it fundamentally alters and rebuilds the dermal matrix.
